Life as a Missionary in Spain: January 2024

Hello friends and family, supporters and partners. Greetings from Spain! I hope all is well for all of you.

We are on our second week of the Discipleship Training School here at YWAM Costa Tropical and it is off to a great start! Our four students, from all over the world - Argentina, Australia, The US, and Germany - are so willing and ready to dive in to knowing who God is. Last week they learned about studying the bible and how to hear the voice of God and this week the teaching is on praise and worship. Even with already learning these teachings last year, I have grasped so much more and have really enjoyed sitting in on the classes. God is constantly revealing things to us, no matter how many times we hear them!

I am having a wonderful time here in Spain and am so glad to be back in the mission field! God is speaking and working in my life in so many amazing ways. He has revealed and healed things I didn't even realize or know were on my heart. I'm being positively pushed into new roles and God is making it known that He is with me every step of the way. One thing I've been doing a lot recently is translating some of the meetings and classes. It's been a challenge and takes a lot of brain power but I am growing in confidence and am starting to love it! It's been so amazing to see how God has been at work in my life and at YWAM Costa Tropical. Outside of classes and the DTS, I've been able to catch up with friends from church and those in Almuñecar. I am so grateful and blessed to have such an amazing community of beautiful and loving people.

A little update on health... From my last newsletter, my left leg was in

a lot of pain super randomly two days after flying to Spain. I ended up going to a doctor to see if it was anything serious like a blood clot. He checked it out and said there wasn't any discoloration or a ton of swelling so it must just be a muscle cramp but to keep an eye on it for the next few days. A day or two later it stopped hurting completely! Now, however, a lot of us on base are getting sick with stuffy noses and sore throats. I am praying we're all in good health soon!

Prayer Requests:

  • Prayer that there would be healing in those that are sick and have a lack of energy and sleep.

  • Prayer for more financial partners to come alongside me in this missionary journey. I finally got the fundraising link up and running!

  • Prayer that the students would continue to deepen their knowledge and understanding of God

  • Prayer we find a location to do our outreach. We still haven't figured out where we will go yet as a school and are praying doors will be open for ministries in different countries.

I love you all so much and am so thankful for your unwavering support and love you have shown me.

With love,

Zetta
