Exciting Summer Updates: New Ministries, New Friends, and Answered Prayers

Hola friends and family! I hope you all have had an amazing summer! I have been so busy and getting into so many new ministries that I am so excited to share with you all!

At the beginning of August, we had a team visit from the UK. They stayed with us for just over a week, and their energy and dedication were truly inspiring. Shortly after they left, we had a short break before welcoming another team—this time from a youth group in Washington. Both teams were filled with young people, most of whom were under 18. Their boldness and courage in their faith were incredibly encouraging to witness!

Ministries in Action

With the help of these teams, we launched our "Kids on the Beach" ministry for the month. We held this program twice a week at two different beaches. The children enjoyed a variety of activities, including games, songs, dancing, and storytelling. We also had the opportunity to share the gospel and distribute gospel bracelets. The response from both the kids and their parents was incredibly positive.

We also introduced a new evangelism strategy thanks to the UK team. We set up a lemonade stand where the drinks were free, but each one came with a heartfelt conversation. This approach attracted many people, allowing us to discuss our beliefs ask them about theirs, offer prayers, and serve the community amid the August heat. Through these interactions, I’ve made numerous new friends from Almuñécar, which is something I had been praying for!

Additionally, we hosted our very first youth encounter on August 16. Although we had only three attendees from the community, it was a fantastic start. I know that God has big plans for the youth in this community and the surrounding towns and I am confident that this ministry has great potential and will grow significantly. We’re planning another youth encounter for late September or early October, and I’ll keep you updated once the date is set.

Beyond working with the teams, I’ve been attending various youth events and connecting with many Christians my age. It’s been incredible to see God answer my prayers for a supportive Christian community. As I have been experiencing these answered prayers, spending time in God's word and in His presence, I am continually reminded of how perfect His timing is, but also how important it is to trust in His timing.

God answers prayers; He sees our needs, desires and dreams and meets us where we are. While things may not always unfold the way we want, His way and timing are far better than we can fathom.

• Team Unity - our YWAM base is growing, and as we grow pray for unity as a team and that we would lead with the Holy Spirit, having wisdom and discernment.

• Youth Encounter - that this would be a ministry that would grow and reach many more youth in the community and surrounding areas.

• Finances - you all have been so gracious and giving and I am so incredibly thankful for that. As of right now, I only have a few monthly supporters and finances to maybe cover the rest of the year.
